Doesn't know where to go!

He has no names. may be he has one but as he cannot speak words, we do not know his name. May be doesn't know too. He has no parent's too. Certainly he has one set of parents but they do not want to admit that they are his parents. He doesn't know where to go. Even if he knew where to go, its not possible for him to go as he cannot walk.

This crippled child of around 5 years was left abandoned 7 months ago in the Corridor of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, in the last winter. At the time of admission he was diagnosed as a case of Protein energy malnutrition with Cerebral Palsy. On arrival his life was critical and as he has no kith and kins to take care, it was also difficult for him to ensure good treatment.

He was being treated by department of orthopaedics and casuality for the last 7 months. Nurshing credit goes to senior stuff nurse Mrs. Delowara as she took his all the care he needs like his mother.

Delowara said, 'its difficult for us to take care of this abandoned child for such a long periods. but we did".

A group of beggers came to take him from the hospital as he could be a very good investment for the beggars team to collect money in the street. But Delowara did not allow them to take this child.


Now 9 months have past. The boy is little healthier. He cannot speak but can take banana by his his own hands. Doctors have said that the boy can go home if he has one.

Delowara has contracted with different agencies and nurshing homes but no one wants to take him without any contact relatives. Finally 'madam Teressa home' from gazipur showed their interest and said that if doctors remove all the plasters and bandage from his body , they would take him.

May be this little child is passing his last days in DMCH
